It's easy. Read the paragraphs, Make your decision. Follow the path.
*Spoiler Alert*

     1) You are a black maid living in Mississippi in the '30s. One day, a  white woman comes to you to offer to put your story into words; she was planning to write a book of interviews of maids in the south. If you say yes and get found out, you will be in HUGE trouble. However, if the book succeeds, not only will have a little extra money, you will have made a mark on this world. Do you do it?
If you do, look at p. 2 // If not, go to p. 3.

2) Interviews go smoothly, but not smoothly enough. Somehow your boss found out something was going on- she just didn't know what. If you tell her about the book, she may have mercy. Or you may get fired. However, if you lie convincingly enough, you might just escape safe. What do you do?
If you tell the truth, go to p. 4 // If you lie, go to p. 5

3) So your daily life continues. But one night, a week later, you have a dream. In this dream, the book succeeds. No one knows you were a part of it, obviously, but you know you were. You are contended and happy when you walk through the streets. It's a stark contrast to your daily life- you are forgotten as you go through your day. Is this a premonition? You take a moment to reconsider the decision you made about doing the book.
If you say yes this time, turn to p.5 // If not, turn to p. 6

4) Although honesty is considered to be the best policy, it is not so this time. Your boss never suspected that you were writing a book that contained the private business of the house, and you were fired. If you had lied, and lied well, maybe this wouldn't be your reality right now. But it is, and you are left wondering where your next meal will come from.
The End

5) The book publishes... and it's a hit! You are still a maid, but a happy one. Not only have you found a new friend in the white lady that wrote the book, but you have made a difference in the working conditions for maids in Mississippi. The void in your life has been filled, and you are now truly happy.
The End ☺

6) The next day, as you drive to work, you take a look at the rest of your life. You realize that you will be a maid forever, and there is no escape. The book comes out and you buy a copy. It's the best thing you have ever read! Nonetheless, the victory is bittersweet, because it could have been yours, if you had grabbed it.
The End

Quantum Physics in a Bombshell

Sain Bainuu! Because of the spelling bee (I lost, but the other guy won), I had to miss my gymnastics class and made it up today. But it was SO WEIRD! For one thing, the coach wasn't the same. Also, it seemed like the mats were all in different places. The lights looked as if someone had messed with them too. But no one had. It made me question the existence of the universe - maybe it's a multiverse? I totally felt disoriented in a place I know like the back of my hand. However, later on, after I had made a few friends, I relaxed and everything felt normal again. So it might have just been my nerves- I don't know. Comment down below if you believe in parallel universes. Bye, candy hearts!

A Racket

Marhaba! I am currently writing this while watching the Australian Open. The Australian Open, for those of you who don't know, is a major tournament in tennis. While I was watching this, it occurred to me that hitting a tennis ball would be really satisfying. I have so many things going on right now such as studying for the spelling bee at the district level, practicing for a piano test, and, of course, blogging. Maybe I need to take my own advice from my last post? So coming back to the spelling bee, I have a funny tale to tell. At my school, they put mine and the other winner's names up on the bulletin board to wish us luck for the district spelling bee. However, they misspelled the word 'congratulations'. I do really appreciate the thought though. It's great to be encouraged and cheered on at the district bee so I would like to say a big THANK YOU to Oliveira Elementary. I just thought this was funny and decided to share it with y'all.  Make sure to hit that 'follow' button to show your support, and follow me on Google+. Gotta go, candy hearts!

The Science of Stress

Bom Dia! On this day in history, I had to turn in my science fair project that my partner and I had worked on since last year. This project definitely caused her some stress, so I've put together a few hacks and tips for when you are stressed.

     1) Sip on green tea. I actually do this almost every night before bed. And it works! The science behind this is that there is a chemical in green tea which soothes nerves.

     2) Eat chocolate. This also has a chemical similar to the tea which calms nerves. So now you have a legitimate reason to stress eat!

     3) Squeeze, then relax. This method is called progressive relaxation, and it's proven to help you sleep too! Just start with any part of your body. Squeeze it and release. Then, work your way around.

     4) Brush your hair. Apparently, repetitive motions help you center yourself.

     5) Go outside. You can smell the flowers and fresh air, socialize with friends, or meditate on a walk. Just take a break when you need it.

     6) Write. It can be a blog, diary, or even music, but writing will help you feel like you are relieving yourself of burdens.

For more great tips, visit my friend Bubbles' blog at atweenschitterchatter.blogspot.com. thanks for reading, and come back on Tuesday!

Anecdote hour; 04-09-2016

Woof! So today I thought of starting a new series on my blog called "Anecdote Hour." I will be sharing important or striking experiences of mine (anecdotes, if you will.). This particular post is about how I got my dog. He is in my profile picture, for those of you who didn't know. And his name is Casper.
It all started when we moved to our new house. The great thing was that we could have a dog in this new house, but then came the choice; which one. So literally as soon as we moved we tried fostering a Labrador named Polo. Bad idea. Not only was our house a little small for a Lab, we still had boxes laying around. Unfortunately, we couldn't keep him. This was in February.
After I hoped and prayed for two months, it happened. One Friday, after school, both my parents came to pick me up. I immediately knew something was up. They took me to the shelter to show me two dogs. One was Casper (then Teddy) and a white poodle named Sam. There really was no choice, though. Teddy was the cutest, bestest dog ever! On Sunday he was ours.
On a completely unrelated note, I just found out you need a blogger account to follow any blogs. It's really simple to make, though. If you have a Google account, just go to Blogger.com and sign in with your Google account. Then you can create your own account and follow my blog too! Make sure to comment your link down below if you decide to create a blog, and thanks for reading. Adios!

Things You Should Do In Your Life

Ciao! Today I will be sharing 5 things you should do in my opinion. I definitely want to do some of these things, and comment down below if you do too. So lets go!

  • Take a trip to Europe.
    • I definitely want to do this since Europe has many destinations and lots of history. Everyone can find something there. My grandparents have been on a tour in Europe and they would surely recommend it!
  • Donate a large amount to charity.
    • Obviously I am not old enough to do this yet, but  if you are successful, think about giving some back to society.
  • Try a sport you have never tried.
    • We all know the benefits of sports, so try something new like horseback riding. You might like it! Or you might break a bone. So good luck! (LOL)
  • Start a blog!
    • Seriously. Do this. You can blog anonymously or publicly and its fun to share your personality with the Internet!

If you made it this far, gracias! If you plan to do any of this stuff, make sure to comment down below. Also, follow me on Google+, Pinterest, and subscribe to this blog. Bye!
